Once you have made the decision what to do you need a compound. The easiest would be, if you could grab it from your desk, or from your neighbors lab, or from somewhere in the house, or get it delivered from the stockroom! The MDL Sourcing application can help you to find compounds easily. Obviously, the need to registered easily into the system. On way is you swipe the bottle over a bar coded reader and the system knows the new location of the bottle. Your scale is also connected to a computer and the difference in weight will be recorded if you take a sample. |

Reaction Databases Make a compound |

Accelrys (MDL) has a huge collection of reactions. However reaction
databases can differ quite substantially if you start searching. ChemInform is the best choice for searching for group transformations. The underlying technology allows you to make very sophisticated queries, for instance you can define an aromatic bond. |
